440 impeller change
Great info off this web site!!! When i go to change my impeller on my 440 stand up, will i just be removing the cone and a nut to get it off or what? I dont think the pump housing has to come off, but ive never done one, Ive also heard a longer ride plate will help with bouncing when in big waves, but will it help with cornering to? my little 440 seams to slid out from under me a lot.

RE: 440 impeller change
On my 650 I had to take the entire pump off. Then using a impeller tool (about $11.00) it comes off from the side where the shaft goes in. The other side I had to clamp in a vice to hold it.
Its does come out. Just need the right tools.
