1995 STS 750 Jet Ski
My Jet Ski starts great, has good power. After 15-20 minutes it starts dying. It is just like it shuts off. I can restart IF I use the choke. It will die again after running a short while. I can keep it going only if I hold the choke at 3/4 closed. I have checked the carbs, plugs, fuel supply, all are OK. Help!
I believe my problem may be associated with the cooling water temp sensor. How hot can the cooling water get before the sensor starts shutting the engine down? What should the maximum water temperature be at the bypass outlet on the right side???
Please help, I am stumped!

You should remove the fuel pick up from your fuel tank and make sure that the screens are clean and also the aluminium section near the top is known to corrode and not allow the tank to take in fresh air to allow fuel to flow. Try tracing the vent line(usually to the handlebar cover is where it leads) and look into the end to make sure dirt dobber wasp hasn't stopped it up.
If this fails, try replacing the fuel pump diaphragm. They can be purchased in a kit aftermarket for half the price of the oem pump housing.
