Default 1981 kz1100 shaftdrive need to id wire

good morning guys, i recently aquired an 81 kz1100 shaftdrive and i have a loose wire i am hoping someone can id for me. after pulling the battery and charging and reinstalling i noticed a wire that was disconnected and now bike will not fire. the wire in question is behind the battery, it is white with black strip and comes out of what appears to be a 2 fuse rubberized fuse holder with maybe 2 fuses. the open end of the wire has a flat type connector with a round clear plastic covering. it seems obvious it powers something, i just cant find what. so, my question is, where does this wire connect? i have searched till my eyes crossed looking for where it goes, and cannot find it. my repair manual has a wiring diagram but this old weak eyes are finding trouble following the tiny diagram. any help here tks, ed
