Any advice would be apriciated. I have an 01 ZR-7S, with a problem with fuel
coming out of the sides of the filler cap. I don't have any restrictions in the
evap system, and i removed the filler and flange and everything looks fine. The weird thing is that it leaks when it is parked upright and running. the fuel isn't sloshing or anything. It will continue to blow out even after the bike is off. untill all the vapors settle in the tank. any suggestions???
Thanks
Kyle.

The vent tube isn't plugged. I've removed the whole tank and blew through the tubes. no restrictions. I even flipped it over with fuel in it and it didn't leak out of the cap.

Yeah, everything is hooked up like it should be. The vent is on the bottom rh corner under the tank. so I am not sure exactly how it works? I have a parts schematic and it appears that the vent tube is attached to where the fuel sender also goes in the tank.
I know cars bikes are still reletively new to me.

could be some residual gas from a top-off..
might be enough pressure to drive out something stuck in the cap.. tho, it's odd that it wouldn't have evaporated at this point.
good luck and welcome to KF!

Just in case anybody is curious, i found out a little more on how the vent system works. The rubber tube at the bottom of the tank supposably runs through a metal tube through the middle of the tank. so if that tube is blocked or damaged then it may be venting the gas back into the tank and never actually exiting the tank. I haven't had a chance to look into it, but it sounds believable enough.LOL. Thanks for all the input from everyone.
