what all do I replace?
I was riding pretty hard the other day and when I stopped and opened up the oil top, my clutch was smokin' bad. I have an EX500 and am wondering what I need besides the 6 clutch disks. It has been slippin for about a couple monthes, so I figured I would replace it now.
Do I need friction plates, how many? Is there anything else I should know before attempting this?
Thank you everyone you have been very helpful in the past.

RE: what all do I replace?
Go to http://www.buykawasaki.com/DefaultFr...intCatalogId=1 On the left click on owner info, then parts diagram. Then you fill out the info on what bike. I didn't know what year you have, so I just picked one. You can find all the info of what you need there. By looking at it, you will need 7 friction plates, 6 steel plates, I would go ahead and change the springs, and a clutch cover gasket.
Job is not too hard. You will spend more time getting your plastics off. Scraping the old gasket of the cases is a PITA.
If you have basic mechanical abilities, it should take you about 2 hours.
