torquing question

torquing question
So I'm gonna change my own oil and the manual has torque guidelines for how tight the drain plug should be. Do i need to worry about that or just tighten the darn thing till its tight. also it OK to skip the filter change this once right i hear a lot of peeps do the filter every other change it is just an after winter oil change doubt i got a 1000mi on this oil but I'm trying to do more of my own maintenance and not sure I'm comfortable doing the filter just yet and trying to save the 130 bucks the dealer would charge me 4 the change thanks for looking. got my first ride of the year the other day yeee haa did i miss riding it was great now to sharpen my mind back up to riding speed after a winter of driving a slow azz car what a difference

i just go til its snug. if you're **** about specs, go right ahead and tourque it to it's prime number.. but all that's not really necessary. just don't do like the samsonite gorilla on it.. lol..
as far as the filter.. its easy.. just like a car. drain old oil, remove old filter.. fill new filterwith what you can without spilling, lube new seal, install, fill case, ride! sometimes, in rare occasions, you'll need to burp the filter to purge the air out, but i wouldn't worry about that unless it happens.. this will be indicated by an oil pressure light being on while the bike's running.
man.. 130 bucks.. i am REALLY beginning to think i'm undercharging at $30 for a change.. good for my (sometimes unappreciative) customers.. bad for me..lol, oh well.

$130 for an oil change? sumbeach, I am in the wrong trade.
I alwayshave a torque wrench handy, so no big deal to just click, all done and not screw up the threads by the gorilla dude.

Yes really 130 bucks... but this is the same dealer that charged me double labor on the front wheel... once to remove it for a new tire and again(it was already off mind you) for front brakes
