Still having issues with GPZ9 throttle cable
Greetings from Wisconsin.
Here is my issue I recently removed carbs cleaned and installed. When I connected the throttle cable and attached all hoses and made sure my connections were tight I installed the gas tank and fired the bike up and WHAAAM it reached 5k rmp and I shut it off. Checked connections and adjusted idle down and started it up and WHAAAM it roared to 5k again so shut it off and when i remove the throttle cable from its metal harness and just leave it free the bike starts and idles at 1100 rpm. I have eliminated the throttle cable as an issue as there is no obvious issues and has spring. The idle adjust is functioning as it should at this point. I looked at my donor GPZ9 just to see if I connected the throttle cable to carbs incorrectly and it looks like I connected it right. This is a weird one for me. Anyone have any ideas. I continue to work on the bike and will just skip to more important projects for now. Thanke everyone!
