starting problem

Default starting problem

I have a 04 636 and and here for the past couple of weeks my bike wont start if i have it in gear it will only start if i have it in neutral.
Any ideas...Thanks Rob

No I use to be able to pull in the clutch and start it in gear but now it wont for some reason.

check your starter lockout switch on the bar. Does not sound like it is making good contact.

Ok I will check that out, some one else told me to to check the clutch switch to but i have no idea where it is.

well, I normally call it the clutch switch personnally, but the proper term is the starter lockout according to the manual.

It's a microswitch set into the clutch lever.
