Sears lift

Got a sears motorcycle lift that I have been using on a Harley, when I try jacking up the Nomad it only wants to jack up the front end, wondering if anyone knows how to solve the problem???

Never used one before, although I have been thinking of getting one. I thought it had straps to hold the bike in place.

i have this lift, it works great, not sure why it just wants to lift the front end, are you putting it as far back, towards the rear wheel as you can? mike bike is on ly 280lbs so it lifts great...
