Default Riding in the rain

Ok so it rained on me to and from work today. Bummer but not too difficult so long as I got away from traffic. Everyone in southern california decided to brake hard every time lightning struck. Suckers. Anywho, I wiped down my whole bike when I got home, anything else I need to do after getting rained on? It felt kind of funny on the way home, like it was a little bogged down, blamed it on the weather. No other problems though, and it was only a minor difference. Do I need to put anything in the gastank? Relube the chain? I literally just lubed it last night. Thx guys

did you lube it or wax it? If you waxed it you should be fine... if not, then I would recommend wiping it down and relubing it (preferably waxing it) again. High humidity will do strange things to carbed bikes in performance aspects - but - you want to be a little tame on the wrist-twist anyhow... it is no fun having it step out on you in that crap. Give yourself lots of room to deal with slower weight transfer, less sticky tires (consequently slower/wider turns), and of course all the schmucks on the road doing things like what you said. You might also want avoid riding when it is lightning out... just my $.02 Be safe!

Waxed it, sorry. Cool. Yeah the lightning was kind of spur of the moment. Kinda funny seeing people give me WTF looks all the way home though... glad I was geared up right.

hmm, KF booted me again! so here goes again.

As mentioned above high humidity/water is probably saturating your air filter element, being you have an FI ride. Something similar to over oiling a reuseable air media. Or you may have paid more attention in a hazardous environment and just now noticed an all along issue or problem.

Rode around tonight since it's only chilly but dry. Rides like a champ, I'll tack one up with yo Dragone that it's the saturated air filter. Should I worry about water in the tank if I only rode around for an hour in the rain? Gas treatments necessary if I don't notice anything out of order riding it tonight?

How would that effect the tank when raining nemo636? Unless you are just getting it out of storage lets say after 3 months. But that is not the case.
Glad that things are good though.

edit: We are not 100% sure on what was happening. It could have been water in the air or the fuel system, somewhere. We are guestimating here.
