Rattle on ZX6 G1

My ZX6R G1 1998 model race bike crashed last week. Engine now has a rattle as the revs die down to idle. Befgore teh crash it was fine. Still fine when the revs are up, or at idle. Advice welcome please....cam chain tensioner? Could that be affected by the engine taking a wack in the crash?
