Please help!!
So, I was on my way home from work when I stopped at the stop light and when I went to take off, my bike just died. It started right back up, but as I gave it gas it would die again. I managed to roll it out of traffic into a parking space. I tried the choke, the fuel valve, but nothing worked. It would idle, but as soon as I would give it some gas it would just sputter and die. I got a ride to my house where I got my truck and came back to my bike. I started it up and soon as I gave it some gas, it died. I started it up again and gave it some gas and then it started working just fine. I revved it a few times, but it wouldn't die again. I drove it home and didn't have a problem. It seems to be running fine now. What the heck?? It only has 693 miles on it. It has almost a full tank of gas. What could possibly be wrong?

is this before you've even touched the clutch lever? i.e you turn it on and pull the accelerator round and it dies or is it turn it on, slap it in first, give it gas while letting out the clutch and then it dies?

It started doing it when I came to a stop and tried to take off. Once I parked it, I had it in neutral and tried to give it gas and it would die. So, it would idle (barely), but any amount of throttle and it would die.

dieing battery?
i don't know about the bigger bikes but with my bike the engine idles over the battery, so when my battery died the bike wouldn't turn over and idle
get a charger on the unit - see if that helps anything

did you feel it all the way to the top?? im not sure about the big bikes like yours,, but my KLX as it says in the book not to feel it all the way up,, and when I do it spits and sputters.. But like drag and motorhead said could be a dying battery or bad connection.. or possible bad gas.. I would check all three things then go from there..
