call me another one of those supersticous guys...lol....anytime I replace parts with new, my first oil fill up is never synthetic just to let the parts get broke in properly. Get some wear on em.

I talked to a local mechanic and he suggested that I drain the clutch line fluid because it is really (possibly the original) old. He said this could be heating up and gumming up and not letting the pressure plate come in full contact. I think I will try this.
+1......

yeah, the synthetic is coming out. Hopefully I'll be riding next weekend.

On a different note, anyone have any experience with fixing tachometers or installing aftermarket ones?

good point BR. So would soaking a new clutch pack in dino oil be enough to not be overly slippery on initial install and break in? And not affect the synthetic setup engine? Or just swap to dino oil for a few laps, then swap out the oil again? I do know that the barnett stuff in the 90's were not lasting long either.

but yes, do change that hydraulic clutch fluid and what were the spring tension measurements when you pulled the clutch? Were they within spec?

I think that you will find aftermarket tachs on the spendy side of the spectrum. lol
