oil tank

I have a 2003 kfx 400 and I was wondering if letting the fourwheeler stand strait up on the back bar for a period of time cause gas to run into the oil tank or could it be something else.

hmm, good question. Generally when the ride is new, a person would expect good sealing. But after time??? You know what I mean. Welcome to KF

the tanks is the front on that on.. right? i just did a head gasket on one.. i think it was an '02ish machine..

watch that as well.. its a manufacturer's defect on the coolant passage and the material used.. it erodes quickly and lets coolant into the block. i think it was the water pump area.. i dunno.. hafta ask my customer.. it was a while ago.

anyways.. there should be no gas contamination.. i guess your stuntin it? doin apehangers and draggin the bar all day shouldn't be an issue.. my boy (also the customer..) stunts the hell out of his with no issues..

i'd really do a conp check. like i said.. the head gasket went with little warning on the machine i serviced, and that one part.. whetever it was, was so badly corroded (magnesium part) that it assited it the blowout i think..

that could cause gas to accumulate i think.. that, ora breather and carb problem.. i'll look into some stuff on that.. get some answers.
