oil pressure light
The oil pressure light on my zx6r has gone on a few times but only after the bike is really warm and as soon as the bike goes over 1300 rpm the light goes off , so this winter i took the oil pan off and cleaned a good amount of debris out of the screen and I've already replaced the oil pressure switch.any ideas ?

Worn main or big end bearings? Worn oil pump?
You've already checked the easy things. A high resistance in the electrical connection to the switch is also likely - a dirty connector maybe. That would make the light think that the oil pressure is lower than it really is.

What year of zx6r? I pulled a 98-99 model manual to check out of curiousity. The oil pressure should be 17-26psi at 4000rpm, oil temp at 194degrees F. So what does your gauge tell you?

don't say that worn main or bearings the bike only has 15000 miles but the light only comes on when the bike is really warm and as soon as give it throttle it goes away, i almost have the bike back together I'am gonna check when i start it up
