Oil and checking level VN800A
Hey all,
new to kawasaki motorcycles and just bought a 2000 Vulcan vn800a. it didn't come w/ the owners manual, i have ordered one but in the meantime, how do i check the oil level and what oil should i use in the bike. i live in TX so the heat in the summer is an issue.
one other thing. what is the PRI setting on the fuel selector valve for? i have had Hondas in the past and they did not have this position.
thanks

Welcome to the forums....
I can;t give you many details in that vulcan. But I bet somebody here can.
IMO, I would prob run Repsol, or equilivent. I'm a full synthetic fan. How many miles are on the bike? I would prob say a good 10w40.
The PRI ? odd....most every bike I have owned there is Reserve, Off, ON..... I would assume PRI stands for prime which I would equate to Reserve.
