ninja 600 dead
so my roommate took my keys to my bike without askin to jump start his cbr. all i know is that he said he hooked up the leads, started my bike then my bike just shut off. now it wont turn on, no lights no nothing! and im pissed! i checked all the fuses and they are all good. im out of a job right now, so taking it to the dealer and paying for it to get fixed is out of the problem. im an automotive tech, but ive never touched a bike, so ima need some help getting around my bike. can anyone help?
by the way its a 96 600R. C model if it helps
thanks guys

How old is your battery. if you checked all fuses i would take his battery and hook it up to your bike and see if it works, If so and it fits tell him thanks and he needs to find a battery for his cbr lol
Also i would double check the fuses.

this is the weird thing...
all fuses are good, the 4 10amps in the fuse block and the one 30amp on the starter relay are all good unless there are more that i dont know about
battery has full 13 volts
all the wiring looks to be in great shape, no melted wires or anything
nothing happens when i turn the key.
all fairings and gas tanks are off and im loosing my mind right now!
my buddie told me via phone that he's certain that its the key and tumbler for the ignition. but the only way i can test it is by taking it off but i cant do that because of the torqe/shear bolts that mount it to the handlebars. the manual says that they are bolts, but no, they are damn shear bolts!
oh, and its gonna suck when he tries to start his cbr and nothing happens due to the cut off ear on the 30amp fuse to his bike. and i doubt his mustang will start any better without the crankshaft position sensor being plugged back in. and i'll charge him up the *** to get his **** started

Those shear bolts cause rattles anyhows.
Your troubleshooting looks like that (ignition switch) is next in your voltages or drops.
13v on the battery, so where is it going or not going.
