new tires?
So I'm looking for a new rear tire for my 05 636 in the next couple hundred miles, which might be soon. I want a compound that will grip on S bends and want to pull the front end up...but do not want to high side. Don't want to run a track tire and have it where down too fast. Any ideas from previous expirience?
Let me know and enjoy the week-end!
Thanks and be safe.

RE: new tires?
I have the new Michelin PP 2CT. They have soft sides and a harder tread in the middle grip great in the twisties. I talked to a guy who tested them on the track in Europe and he said they where the best all around tire he had been on.

I love my Michelin Pilot Powers...the 2CT always gets good reviews too. Qualifiers are nice my husband had one on his 636 and he says he preferred the Pilot Power. To each his own.

RE: new tires?
Hey Mike, Right now right know I just plan on riding the streets but hope to do a track day and some classes when money permits so I can really hammer down and not worry about the crappy streets here in western PA....The problem I have now is trusting the tires. My friend with the R-1 says that's the toughest part.
Had a couple of street bikes before but this is the first you can really lean into it and have fun.

If you like still hiting the twisties the pp 2ct's will not let you down. great traction in the corners. Mine have not let me down yet. Just remember to break the tires in before you get to crazy on them. You have to wear the coating off them. 50 TO 100 miles should be enough wear time. Plus let them warm up to don't want to get crazy on a cold set of tires.
