New to the forum, and carb trouble too...

A good website for factory shop manuals (FSM) is at www.repairmanual.com I recently ordered and received a manual for a 82 GPZ1100 B2 I'm redoing.

Oh crap! Talk of re-synching....Do I have to re-sync even if I didn't split the carbs apart from each other? The bike runs great now (or I think it does) and the only problem I have is that it wants to idle great at about 1,700-1,800 but not real well below that, even though the sticker under the seat says 1,300. Is that caused by the lack of synching the carbs? And even if it is I have no idea what the proper procedure is to do so. I know that there is a springloaded screw between the carbs to set the butterflys to close together and from the factory I noticed that the #2 carb butterfly opens a little more than 90 degrees when the #1 butterfly is open to 90. But the difference in the two is only about 1 or 1.5 degrees (less than 1mm) and they both close together perfectly, so I didn't fool around with that springloaded screw in the middle. BTW, anyone know if I could find the owner's manual to my bike in PDF form somewhere? It would be really nice to know the maintenance schedule and tolerances for things like oil changes and chain tension. Thanks so much for the help so far, you guys are an invaluable resource!
