Default NEED HELP!!! punctured hole in oil cooler

What's going on guys and gals,
I was out changing my oil on my other bike zx-6r for the first time, and couldn't get the filter off worth the life of me. Even with two different types of wrenches I couldn't get it loose, so I went old school, and popped a screw driver through it. Well in the process, I punctured a flat hole in the oil cooler right behind it, and then coolant squirted out. I tried putting some JB weld on it. But that didn't really seem to work, the coolant just kinda pushed through it. Any Ideas on how I can fix this? I really need to fix this. Thanks to all your help. This pictures included show the hole, with the oil filter removed. Also, will not putting oil back in my bike until tomorrow, hurt anything if its not started??
Questions??
-How to fix a puncture hole in oil cooler?
-Will not having any oil in my bike hurt it, if its not started or moved? Thanks!

Did you mean Radiator? You say coolant was coming out of the hole, right? I would take it to your local radiator shop (even if it is an oil cooler) and see if they can solder or braze the hole.

Or, just buy a used one. That would be a safer bet.

Not installing oil right away is ok. PN# 39067-0011 estimated price new $324
I too would take it in for brazing for less than oem new. The "O" ring is about $4 in case you cannot reuse the existing ring.

I'd probably just find a used one. That's pretty thin stuff to try to patch. You don't want a "failure" at 75mph, believe me.
My two cents.....

I had a leaking oil cooler. Try MIDS, they sold me one for $125 with a warranty. I got it before my trackday too so I was very happy with them. If they don't have one go to www.riderparts.com and enter the part you need so salvage yards will contact you if they have them.

Give them a call and please tell them Chris Gorham sent you because I am trying to get some sponsorship, this would probably help my cause.

Drag, yep; you're right. However, there is pressure inside, which would make me a little nervous if I simply patched.
