need help with my 750 ninja
I got my firts bike a 2002 zx750 ninja I bout it about 6 months ago I noticed that it was idling at 1800 close to 2000 rpm when I ride for a while. I turn it downed to 1500because any lower it would cut off. The next day it was leaking fuel from the carburetor. When I took the air filter off the number 3 carburetor had some fuel. I drained it out andwhen for a ride. 3 days later Istarted the bike up again but when I use the throttle to warm up the bike it cuts off.
Whatcan I do about the leak?
What can I do about the throttle?
What can I do about the excess fuel on the carburetor?
My friend told meto change thefloat valve needle
He also said that the bike was running rich what do I do for that

RE: need help with my 750 ninja
if you use the throttle to keep the bike running it absolutely hates it. i know mine does. it loves being choked..
after all, a cold engine needs an abnormally rich A/F to get it going when cold.. thats what the chokes purpose is.
if its idleing high, theres a possibility of a vacuum leak, or the choke being stuck opened on at least one carb..
i'd check the float levels across all the carbs just to be safe, but if #3 is high, try an adjustment on it first.. if that doesnt help, inspect the integrity of the seals, seats, and needles in the carb..
on off-sync bike will idle poorly, if it does not "spin down" quickly to idle after a blip of the throttle, its either out of sync, or theres a vacuum leak present..
keep us posted bro, and welcome to KF!!!!!!!
