Mystery red wire with a fuse in it

bk/y are normally ground on the OLD BIKES? HAHAHA, lazy right now. yes, BK/Y is still common on the 05

I traced the wire to under the fuel tank

i did the dual headlight conversion and bumped it up 5 amps with no problems...stock bikes don't have that wire...when I get home in the AM i will take a look and see whats going on under there...

It looks like a ground wire that runs from
the bottom of the gas tank but i have no clue why the red wire is connected to it.

another idea is that you should pull the red wire out and use 2 separate wires and hook them to the originals...there may be a problem with the wires being twisted together...

Ok so now that we know its a ground wire, would that explain the fuse blowing? If so would it be ok to use a 15 amp?
