MY SAD BIKE
Howdies bikes hope your havin a good day,
Can any one on the forum help me with a problem I have with my bike.
I ride a Kawasaki 600 r Gpx . The bike starts up good but once the bike warms up the revs change they fluctuate up and down then the bike cuts out and won’t start until the bike cools down. The bike was tuned to run on super petrol, because this is no longer available I have to put in unleaded add the bottle mixture to turn it to super.
Do you think that may be the problem?
Thanks for your time cheers Pat

RE: MY SAD BIKE
Have your pick-up coils checked, but only right after it cuts out. If they are good, move on to the ignition coils.
When you say "cut out", do you mean it starts to miss-fire, or not fire at all? If something is causing your bike to run lean in through the carburettors, it may just feel like it's cutting out.

RE: MY SAD BIKE won't start when it's hot
Thank you so much for your reply; it is so nice to know there are people like you, that honestly help you certainly make the world a better place.
I purchased the bike brand new, and I have never made any mod changes to the bike I’m only 50 kilos I’m sure it thinks I’m a ghost rider. I haven’t cleaned my fuel system,
Once the bike heats up, it revs up and down for a few seconds then just turns off. It won’t fire up at all no matter how many times I try to restart it, even though the motor is trying to turn over it sounds like it is starving of something. The only way it starts again is when I leave the bike cool down. Then it starts up as if it’s a innocent little angel, until it warms up, could fuel cause that? Do you think it needs fuel to be 100 percent once it reaches a certain tempters? The sad part about it is I LOVE my bike Pat

Thanks for your help, looks like I have to take it to a bike repair shop. Something I don’t really like doing, because they intend to charge like wounded bulls and because I am a female, they tell me all sorts of crap this was wrong that was wrong I take it home and they have done nothing. I may put a carbie cleaner liquid in the petrol to flush it out.
Do you think that’s a good idea please don’t say dumb female don’t even think of it PLEASE[:@]

hahaha, pat. The thing is, if you are not willing to work on "your ride", then you will have to take it to someone else. Your choice of course. Wish ya luck.

Maybe instead of taking it to a stealership, you should start a thread something like..."any honest mechanics in (insert hometown here)" . I found a really good mech. like that, and wont go anywhere else.
Its woth a shot. You certainly dont want to go to the stealership, they will rake a woman over the coals. I like to go to a private mech, they seem to like to keep clean reps, and who knows, if you bat your eyelashes just the right way, he may do a good job and charge you fairly.
