That's why I love the 9's; they run forever.....
Seriously, (if you haven't figured this out) check the wiring very closely. Something is obviously bypassed or not connected. Any aftermarket goodies put into the electrical circuit can screw things up (usually not that badly, though!) May be something as simple as a shorted fuse block.

Well my buddy has replaced the whole harness, the kill switch, the key switch, the kickstand safety switch. so I dont know what else it could be and he isacertified 12v technician, so any ideas would be great. Thanks

Something is bypassing the key switch. The fuse block comment from Jeff makes sense. Something upstream of the switch (between the switch and the battery) is causing grief.
