Default Mechanic's tools

I'm about to buy a motion pro deluxe carb tuner, and secondary tank to do my own carb work. Im new to the mechanical side of bikes and i wanted to know if there was any tools you recomend purchasing to make future work easier. Eventually Id like to learn to do all of my own work on my bike and help others troubleshoot too.Ive got the general tools, such as wrench's , allen sets, sockets, pliers and thats about all ive ever used on my bike. Any advice would be helpful!

right on, welcome
I have not used a secondary tank yet though to play with the rides.
A carb tuner, cool. For endless chains, they also offer pretty good chain tools. Go with the Pro though, my opinion. Good stands are in order too. As you know, the list goes on.........

I made my own auxilary tank from an old lawn mower tank. I think free is a lot better than spending $40+ for a plastic bottle. Another nice tool to have is a throttle plate adjustment tool. MotionPro makes one. You don't "have" to have it, but it will make life easier.

Spanners& sockets up to 38mm
Agood torque wrench is a must.
Screwdrivers - I use engeneering drivers, as you can whack them with the handle are magnetized (handy to hold screws)and you can turn the shaftis square & you can put a spanner on the shaft for more torque.
Impact driver.
I don't know if your kit comes with a set of vacuum guages.
Valve spring compressors.
compression guage, for compression in barrels and piston.
Vernier guage (internal and external)
Micrometer
feeler guages.
G clamps
a good heavy bench vice
a Grinder.
2 & 3 leg pullers of different of sizes
Circlip plyers, streight and bent.
As many different taps as you can get for re-threading
A clutch splitting tool, those you can make youurself, I used the method mentioned in the haines for mine.
A dremmel (or equlivelant machine)
a weldering kit.
Good drill (& piller drill if you can get)
& before I forget the electricals....
circuit tester
a volt/amp
and a soldering iron

Thinks that should be the lot....Have fun.
