I have an 03 636 and there is a lovely lifter ticking. The guy at the dealership I bought the bike from said he had the same problem with his 03 and had the head ripped apart while it was still under warranty and said there was nothing wrong with it. He said that he used carb cleaner and sprayed it in the intake (at least thats what I think he said) I was just wondering if anyone else has/had the same problems. If so did the carb cleaner in the intake work or is there another fix? Thanks for the help.

hmm lifter ticking? (There are no lifters, just a bucket and shim). If carb cleaner was used, so the sound was caused by the valves not seating properly and piston being carboned up?
