KX forks fit on a KLX???

KX forks fit on a KLX???
I have a 2006 KLX 250 and I'm curious if a KX triple clamp will fit on my bike? Year guides? rider experiences... I understand that the mounting "tabs" for the headlight assembly will have to be manufactured but I'm just wondering if any one has tried this. Thanks
