Default ke 100 problems

hi i have a 1995 kawasaki ke 100, ive been having problems getting it to run right. its fine to start but when you go through the gears it bogs out at the top end of the revs. we have changed the piston and rings, condensor and points, checked the rotary valve, cleaned the carb, exhaust, fuel tank, air filter and valves. checked the needle point. but even after all that it is still not running correctly. any idea what could be causing this?

hay, think we found the problem, the tank has rusted inside and is being dragged through the filters and into the carb. any idea how to restore a rusty tank?

Some people have coated their tanks, some with less than happy remarks on the durability. A newer ride like yours would make me either buy an extra large aftermarket tank or just an oem tank.
