Hey guys i just changed the oil on my 94 Vulcan 500 and now the oil pressure light AND the temp light have come on... i ran it for a few minutes and both the lights are still on. My bike only has 9700 miles on it, any suggestions as to what this is? Im gonna call the local dealership tomorrow but i really don't wanna pay to have them look at it...

 

Maybe a stupid question, but does anything re-set if you disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes, then re-connect? If you didn't inadvertantly mess anything up during your oil change, I would assume it would be a sensor error. I'm no expert on these bikes, though.

 

Did you put in a lighter viscosity?

Since both lights are on at the same time, maybe the sensor wire got knocked loose. (Are these two different lights?)
