Hello all im a first time bike owner so some stuff j say may sound stupid. Ive been reading alot of forums can anybody tell me if it can jump my bike battery with a car battery if car is not started. Can anybody tell me of all bikes are 12 volt electrical systems i have a 1980 ltd kz440 i bought it a couple weeks ago and rode it home ran great since then i havnt been able to start the bike all help will be appreciated.

 

You can jump start it with any 12 volt battery including a car battery. 12 volts is 12 volts..most all modern motorcycles are 12 volts

 

Ok even though its an 1980 its still ok?
