jetting question

Default jetting question

I have a 2004 kx 250 and I put pro circuit platnum 2 pipe onitI have the jet chart off of procircuit.com my problem is the needle position Im tring to find out if I can adjust my needle or if I need to buy a new one and how do I tell what position its already in and where it needs to be any info would be awsome

Welcome to the forums mielamonster. Kinda sounds like your first carb tuning experience, no big deal. The procircuit literature should help you in the where of the needle clip position. However, sometimes that is a good ball park setting(altitude issue, mix and brand, the baseline gas used, etc). Knowing your ride, reading the plug etc will help fine tune things some.

well the jet chart just gives me a position of four letters and im not sure how to tell what position the letters stand for

Adjust first, then move on to a different taper needle if need be or highly recommended. (Spring changes included)
