Default I need help with my rear shock

Has anyone ever rebuilt a rear shock. I have a 96 KX 250 that has a blown rear shock. I want to know how to rebuild it and where I can find a rebuild kit for it.

I think you might find rebuilding shocks to be more time and expense than you want; save your pennies for a good quality shock and you'll be better off. (Unless you're rebuilding an Ohlins or Penske or Fox or something of high quality, in which case you're better having an expert do it.) IMHO

Welcome to KF. I agree with Jeffs statement. Get it done with your favorite suspension shop. I also like to know or do my own repairs and rebuilds. But there is a time when a person needs to rely on the pros for stuff. Race Tech, Traxxion are the only ones I have dealt with, but there are many other competent shops out there.
