How to weigh your bike for $12 dollars
I am about to buy Works Performance shocks, and they need bike weight ,rider n gear weight to build these custom sprung/valved shocks.I knew the starting weight of my bike was 543 stock, and keeping track of the changes it should be around 500 with all fluids ( also Known as wet weight ). First you go to wallmart and buy 2 bath room scales made by METRO model 2000 for $ 5.47 each. Rolling the bike on the scale will bend it so make a little wood board ramp or lift up the bike by jack or man power. One under each wheel, now with a friend balance the bike being careful not to add your weight to the bike. Look at each scale and add the two weights together for total weight. I tryed these scales in the store by the weight sets. Using the steel weights in 25lb inkcroments to cheak accuracy. They were right all the way to their max weight of 300lb. The rex weighed in at 252 front and 249 rear for a total of 501lb wet weight that is 42 lb lighter than stock. Hope this helps you weight nuts like Me, when your realy sick you get a good digital scale for bolts and small parts like I have.

Interesting.....I would never have thought of something like that. But then again, I don't even own a set of bathroom scales, they lie (any woman out there will tell you that)! I'll have to keep that in mind just in case.
