Hi i am a first time bike owner and my coolant leaked out of the coolant overflow hose. I am wondering how i can check the current level of coolant so i know if i'm ok to ride or not. Please help!!! Thanks!

 

I haven't given a 2008 a close inspection, but I have to assume that there is a radiator cap somewhere up beneath the handlebars and an overflow bottle somewhere under the rear fairing (2007 is on the left). After the bike has completely cooled off (overnight preferably) take off the radiator cap and make sure the coolant is filled all the way to the lip. Re-seal. Then top off the overflow bottle to the 'full' line. You're done.

 

The owners manual that came with the bike should be of help.

You should be able to see the radiator cap down beneath the handlebars, but I'm not 100% sure on the differences between 2007 and 2008.

My reservior is underneath the left side fairing just in front of the rear wheel.
