Default Help chargin batter?

Okay, i've been riding for a few years now, but i'm very ignorant about repairs and small things like that, I always had a close friend who did most this for me, although i've never had a battery die on me before (suprised my brand new zx6r (2006) has a dead batter already) but it won't start, all I hear is ticking, and that's my current assumption.....

Okay, well I want to try and charge up the battery, but i'll be honest in saying i'm not exactly sure what i'm doing.....how do I get to the battery, and what do I need/need to do to charge it??

Any detailed help will be really appreciated...Need to start learning this stuff on my own anyway

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE A CAR BATTERY CHARGER! It will fry your battery. Find one that is no stronger than 1 amp. And buy a volt meter while you're at it. Or just get a Batterytender, they shut off automaticly, so their is no chance of over doing it. You can find these at just about any autoparts store.
Good luck!

TO GET TO THE BATTERY YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE SIDE COVERS OFF THEN TAKE THE SEAT OFF . THERE YOU WILL SEE THE WIRING HARNESSES AND THE BATTERY
