i have a 2000 zx6r and my head lights dont come on i checked the fuses and the wiring seems to be okay and when i tested it with a volt meter only one wire had power on it, any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix it?

 

Bad grounding. Or, a relay.

 

thanks i will check those thing but how do you check if a relay is not good or do i just have to go and get a new one

 

You can check relays, but you will need to be able to understand the wiring schematic that is usually on the side of the relay. You need a 12v source and ground to power the relay, and a Ohm meter to see if the relay is working when power is applied.

Trust me though, you're better off just replacing it.
