handle bar vibration
I have a ninja 500 and I feel quite a bit of vibration when I'm hanging on to the handle bars. Sometimes my wrist even hurts after ridingawhile. If you have any ideas to help please let me know.

RE: handle bar vibration
Welcome to KF, Connie. The 500 section has a lot of good info, so stick around.
Your 500 has a Parallel Twin motor which will produce a good deal of vibration, but if it seems excessive you my need to get it checked out. If its your first ride, just have someone who has been riding longer feel the bars, there are few reasons fora twinmotor to run rough and still run, perhaps your just not used to it yet? If your wrists are hurting, I would think it may be your riding position, the 500 has a very upright seating position compred to other sport bikes, so you should be putting very little weight on the handlebars. Try adjusting your position and releive as much pressure from the bars as you can comfortably, and see if your wrists feel any better.
