Default GPZ 600 R 1987 Runs like a tin of sardines

hello kawas, my trusty old steed starts great, runs great, gets up to running temp, then dies on me, it feels as if i am running out of petrol but not enough that it completely dies off, when i give gas it just doesnt do anything. The feeling is as though it wants to move but something holds it back. I dont know if it is petrol not getting through or the timing is out and not igniting properly. When i stop it still ticks over but responds ****ty to the throttle. When it is cold again it starts and moves no bother until it gets warm again. Suggestions pleeeeeeeeeease.

yours thankfully Alan.

Check your fuel system first. lines, screens, carb cleaning and check your float heights. Then do a sync of your carbs. Just the basics to start with.

Yep. I had same problem, and it was dirty carbs. Pull em, clean the heck out of em, and good to go. Make sure all the carb boots are good and have no cracks etc while you are there.
