Not really sure on the kickstand issue. Jumper it out of the loop then test. If it still happens, then would have to agree with Notstock. Usually means that the float in one of the carbs is hanging or that they(the carbs) are no longer sinked. Of course after checking that the fuel lines are free and clear.
