Front end repair
I have a 02 800 Drifter that has some front end damage. Actually the bike is totalled by insurance. But, all that really "needs" repair is front rim, and the forks are bent. This is a sweet little bike. Just bought it for my wife it had 350 miles on it I put on about 20 she put on 5 blocks then hit a power pole.
I am wondering hopw technical / difficult it is to replace the forks? has anyone done this?
Its either that or part it out. The bike is basically brand new from the headlight back! Anybody got an opinion?

RE: Front end repair
I've done forks before. Replacing them should be extremely easy. You better make sure the triple clamps aren't damaged from the wreck though. All you should have to do is remove the brake assembly, front wheel, and loosen the triple clamp bolts holding the fork in place.
Hope it works out for you, and good luck!
BTW: Is your wife OK? I would think hitting a pole would be quite painful.[:@]
