Default fork spacer for a 250/S1 or 350/S2

Hello,
I am trying to rebuild an old racing bitza from 1975
the fork is comming from a 350 S2 but the spacer fork is missing, and the fork is too "flat"

Does anybody knows what is the length of this piece ? (number 16)
you can have a look, open your fork, don't worry, there is no oil at this point

Here is a picture of the fork:

best regards from Paris, France,
Ben.

I do not know the length. "Flat" means what?

Well, by flat, I mean that the fork is going down, without going up by itself. the spring is too short of about 10 cm (3 inches)...
I guess that the spacer will also pre-load the spring, but I dont know what is the real length of this spacer.

sorry, english is not my native language ...

Ben.

no prob. Do a 3" cut of Al tube to try it out. Still may not be factory, but from what you have said, will allow you to play with the setup.

/\ exactly, what kind of materials are available to you over there ? you can even use some thick walled pvc. id crack open my forks but i dont have anything similar to the ones you have so it wouldnt be a accurate dimention.

I would play with the pvc idea first before killing your bars.

the handlebar did not suffer, it had already died for a long timeā€¦
the 25mm PVC is employed for the large aquariums or the small swimming pools, they are luxurious equipment and very expensive in Parisā€¦ the twisted handlebars are quite cheaper.

It works now, thx !!!

Bye,
Ben.
