RE: exhaust butterfly?
First why remove it ? It helps the motor produce more Torque down low while the valve is partly closed and opens up as flow increases . Fully open and removed there is almos ZERO flow diffrence . By no means enough to make more power .
You 636 also is getting incorrect readings on its fuel system . I recomend you reinstall it IMO

RE: exhaust butterfly?
i would say the same unless you are planing on putting an aftermarket exhaust on soon.....one way to get the light to turn of is to put the control module back in and put a one of these on.... http://www.muzzys.com/EFIServoLimiter/index.html .....and you should not have a problem anymore.....

RE: exhaust butterfly?
pretty much did all that work for nothing...no gains anywhere except for that pretty little red light staring at you as a reminder...put the servo back in and get yourself a pipe...most of the pipes come with a kit to keep the light from coming on...to kill the red light you would have to cut a wire in the ECU if I remember correctly...I wouldn't want to risk cutting the wrong wire though...
