exhaust for 2009 zx10

Default exhaust for 2009 zx10

just got a 2009 zx10 and looking for an exhaust to put on my bike. question I never got an answer on is, if you put on a full system exhaust would you need a power comander to go with it? some say yes some say no?? confussed, please advise! i had an R1 before and suzuks but never a kawasaki. i've had yoshi slip on with pcIII and worked just fine but seemed to be missing a little more roar! any suggestions?

I would put a Power Commander on if it was my bike. You are changing from a lean condition to a very lean condition when you move up to full exhaust. A slip-on can usually run fine without an upgrade, but to fully take advantage I would up the PC.

^+1, on any full system it is highly recommended. Do your ride and you a favor and spend just a few more dollars for a proper tune. Good luck and welcome to KF

some of the newer bike computers can compensate when a slip on or a full system is installed...so you may not need to get one...I would get one for the performance gians...

hey guys thanks for all the info! i guess you live and learn becuase i had a pcIII with slip on on my last bike, R1. the guy told me i needed with the slip on. go figure with salesman! again thanks for all the info it's been a great help... i'm attaching pics of the my new 2009 zx10, i'm liking the bike!
