EX500 exhuast
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and new to the Ninja EX500. The bike needs new muffers and I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for slip-on's and what effect going with non-stock exhaust system parts would have on the carburetor tuning.
Thanks in advance.

Absolutely..... If you change the headers you have to check the intake and outtake. Most likely you will need at least a stage 1 jet kit (maybe not). If you are doing this yourself make sure you bring it to someone to check the carbs to see if they are in synch, if so you won't need the kit. Good Luck and let us know how it turns out.

Just found this link from another forum (not sure if the sound works though, don't have a sound card in the computer at work ) Someone put a Hindle exhaust on their 500 and did a sound recording of it.

Thanks for input all-
I went to the Muzzy web site and sent their sales/tech support guy an email asking for their recommendation on Muzzy splip-on's and subsequent carburator issues. Haven't heard back from them yet. I'll wait until after the T-day holiday to see if they respond and post the results here.
