Engine Removal ZX9
My reed valves were very carboned up and the reed valve ports? arenot looking too good.
In the picture, right next to the spark plug there is a round smaller tube (this tube is also covered by the smaller gasket for the spark plugs). I have a question on this small tube, 3 are all carboned up and dry while one is filled with oily sludge almost to the top. It looks to me that this is for emission gasses to vent through the reed valves, why would one be full of oil? I going to be pulling the head to clean up the pistons and vales, looking to have it running good for next year. Hopefully, everything will go good.
