Engine Break-In Secrets

RE: Engine Break-In Secrets
I have read that before too.Its some good reading. When I first got my quad I broke it in like he describes in mototune, ***** out. My quad is four years old and I have never had a problem with it. She tears some serious a$$. Now my 636 I was not as hard on right off the bat. I didn’t follow the manufactures recommendation but I didn’t tach it out until after 1500 mi. They both scream and I have never hade any problems. I agree with the part of the motorune add on why the manufactures recommend you to take it easy right off the get go. That way you get use to the machine.

I wouldn't do that on some one else's bike. That piston on the left, and right bit looks shady. that one on the left looks scorched, he probably had to pound it out with a hammer. No sir, I don't like it.
