DIY painting?
Anyone here ever paint their bike at home? The paint on mine is fine but I was thinking about "blacking-out" the whole thing this winter. Any tips or direction would be great. Thanks!

what kind of paint are you looking to apply?
believe it or not, my bike (in the sig) is rattlecanned..
if you're looking to HVLP your bike, use "1966 GM" black.. standard color. easy application.. i believe 2 stage as well.. you might be able to get it in a single stage, but i'm no painter.. lol i don't know these things
this is a wide topic.. what specifically would you like to know?
painting tips? set up and application? surface prep? sanding and priming?
how to wet sand? how to paint in a distgustingly dirty atmosphere and get killer results? ..lol
theres alot to it.. not even sure if you're considering rattlecan paint or "professional" paint..
like i said tho.. i'm by no means a painter. i know enough to be dangerous. but i have professional sources should a question come up i can't answer..
let us know!!
