Disapointing power in the sub 10 on 07 zx6r, can anyone help??
Hi there everybody, very cool forum love it. Here is my problem, I just bought a new 07 zx6r I got 600 mi on it in one week, so my break-in is complete, after18mo. and 17,600 mi. on my 06 ZZR600, I can say that I am dissapointed in the underwhellming power in the sub 10k of my new zx6r, after10k the power is great and with the ECU jumper mod its even better as I get closer to red line. My ZZR600 I could power wheelie from 4k in 1rst the new ninja I have to be around 10k.
Besides regearing my bike what else can I do to get more power in the lower and mid range of my bike??
If regearing is the answer then what would be the best set-up with out losing to much top end power, what chain would I need with the set-up??
And how would I correct my speedometer, if I regear my bike. Its a very nice bike and handles awsome!! I dont want to throw alot of money into it.
If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
Thanx alot.

-1+2 on the gearing. also known as a power up kit. vortex makes a kit complete with a 520 chain. afam as well as some other make a kit complete with chain.
speedo-get a speedo healer and your good, youll loose about 15 mph in the top but how often are you going at it at 150 +

the big difference between the zzr600 and the new zx6r is the cams pushing the peak torque and hp up top if i'm not mistaken. its cammed for maximum track performance where as the zzr600 has more streetable cams for more mid range.
