Cranks but won't start after rust cleaned from gas tank
Not a mechanic. 2015 Ninja SE.
Last year the cover blew off my bike during hurricane season and water leaked into the gas tank.
This last weekend I finally had time to pull the fairings and tank off and clean it out. There was significant rust in the tank, I put some rust remover in it, flushed it out really well and changed the spark plugs (which were also somewhat rusty).
It cranks, feels like it wants to start, but the engine won't turn over. I assume this means it's not getting gas. I assume that's because rust is clogging up the system somewhere?
Do I need to replace (or maybe just clean) the fuel injectors? What else should I check?
What would be the next step in troubleshooting?
TIA
