Carb help
I have a '81 KZ440 LTD (belt driven) w/ 11k miles - starts and idles fine, however when you get past quarter throtle it bogs, and eventually will catch up (if it does not kill). I recently cleaned both carbs, where do you suggest that I start?
Thanks,
Thanks,

OR, they are too big; too rich. Drop down a couple sizes on the 2ndary jets; i.e. make the hole smaller. Aftermarket pipe? (Usually a megaphone with no baffle, or something equally irritating.)

BTW, welcome to the forums, dad. Keep us posted on what you find. It sounds like the amount of air coming into the carbs can't keep up with the amount of fuel. At idle, they're fine, but as you mix more fuel, it gets too rich. Maybe drop the needles one notch.
